Error 5006:0800700b7

I have recently reset my HP Envy laptop and upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10.
Unfortunately, when I try to re-install Virtual CD 10 using the link sent via email, I receive the above error code.
I restarted my laptop, with no other applications running except outlook (which I need for the link), but still received the same error.
HELP!!

This error is not known to us, but there are similar messages which might lead to a solution:

Setup Error -5006: 0x80070020 or 0x800700b7 during the (de-)installation of Virtual CD

Disabled virus protection and installed OK without error.

After Updating to Windows 10 I also had error Error 5006:0800700b7 trying to re-install Virtual CD. The error persisted until I tried the action suggested by the third error listed below (Setup Error -5006: 0x80070020). In my case the virus software was McAfee Security Center -- disabling real time scannin during the Virtual CD install fixed the problem for me.
