Error Code: -5006 : 0x800700b7

I am getting this error code on V10 update / install.
Tried the advice given in the other response without success.

Unistalled VCD, tried a new install, same error.
Upgraded to Windows 10 and retried new install, same error.
Any other ideas to resolve this?

Error Code -5006

Please see the KB article below for the reason of his error and the solution:

Setup error -5006: 0x80070002 during Virtual CD installation

Setup error -5006 : 0x800700b7 not fixed.

Similar but does not solve the problem.
The error code I have is different...

General problem?

Seems to be a general problem, i.e. other setups (based on InstallShield) should run into the same problem. Maybe this follwing link will provide the solution: TN43607: "An error (-5006: 0x800700b7) has occurred...

Other possible solution: Create a new administrtaive user and start the setup as administrator".

Still stuck on this.

Any other ideas?
Remove entries in registry - where?
Remove files - which?

New administrative user

Did you already try to install as new/other administrative user?
