The Virtual CD support forum

Answers:

Copy (burn) files in the background from folder to virtualCD

Hi,

We have a silent installation of Virtual CD on our Windows 7 machine, used to run Automated Tests.
We need to create the precondition that files are available on VirtualCD!
So the files should already be copied (or burned) from a location (on hard disk) to Virtual CD.

When running Dos Command "Copy", "Incorrect function" error is displayed!

Is there a simple VirtualCD specific command (or API), which would help in this case?
Note: the idea is to initiate this from test code in C#, so it should work in the background and without need of user interaction

Thanks

Copy (burn) files in the background from folder to virtual CD

If I understand you correctly you don not want to burn a CD/DVD, but files form a folder to a virtual CD. This can be done with the Virtual CD Editor, but unfortunately there are not command line arguments or API for this tool.

It does not matter whether its done via burn or edit.
So is there a VirtualCD command or API which (in background) burns data from certain folder to VisrtualCD drive?

Command line parameters of the Container Wizard

Onle the Container Wizard provides command line parameters (see KB article below), but this wizard only support to copy from CD/DVD drives, not from folders. Also the Virtual CD API does not support this.
