Virtual CD error in our Test Environment (error code: 112)

Dear sir,

We have VirtualCD with 25 Client licenses in our Automated Test environment.
We daily re-install all our systems with clean OS.
After each re-install a silent installer (located on a common share) is initiated on each clean system and sufficient time is given to each system to complete the VC installation before running the automated tests.
The number of machines that run automated tests and have VC installed are far below the 25.

We had hardly seen any issue so far.
Only since few recent runs we encounter (only for one our test) a failure with below error message on a dialogue:
"You do not have privileges required for launching this program (error code:112).
The license code entered is invalid."

This error seems to occur when our framework internally runs the below VC eject command:
vc10cmd.exe "/e"

Note that many other tests do repeatedly similar operations in the same environment and never encounter any problem.

Can you help us to analyse the issue?
There is a C:\Temp\Virtual_CD folder but has no logs in it!

Thanks in advance,

Mohsen Hosseinollahi

Virtual CD error in our Test Environment

Dear Mr. Hosseinollahi,

thanks for your email. The first question we've is about your VCD license: do you use a Network license and include it in the Client Setup or do you use a Network Management Server for VCD?
I think the first step would be to check if the license is there.
You can start the VCD diagnostic tool and send us the output.
Unfortunately it is impossible to give you a direct solution for this problem.
What could also help to fix this problem is to see what is different in the testing environment if the other ones functions correctly...
Kind reagrds,
Markus Libiseller
