error creation virtual image

hello,

I have installed VCD TS7 on windows 2000 server sp4 with citrix metaframe XP.

I would like to create a virtual image from the cd drive (or repertory) of a client pc (using the client pc for the creation)

I use the vcd editor's and when I launch the creation of the virtual image, I have an error when the image writer want to create the track:

“Creation process failed (error code: 14) –editor-error creating data”

This error appears just when the source is an element of the client pc, when I select cd drive (or repertory) on the server (always using the client pc), the creation of the virtual image works good.

This error doesn’t appear with the vcd ts6.

At first sight I'd presume that there is a problem with your local CD drive (BTW: What do you mean with repertory?).
Why do you use the Editor? Do you want to create a virtual CD from different sources? If you want to copy a CD, please use the Image Wizard instead. Does this show a similar error?

For the repertory, it’s an error, I would like to say directory, sorry.

Yes I want to create from different sources, if I use the image wizard, I haven’t an error, but the source of the virtual cd is automatically the cd drive of the server, or I don’t want this. I use the editor because with the editor I can select the source of the virtual cd (for example, the cd drive of a client pc).

With the vcd ts6, I can do this, what’s the difference with the vcd ts7?

Editor error creating data

At first sight I'd say that there's no difference between the v6 and the v7 Editor. Maybe the diagnostics output (Toolbox -> Show diagnostics) will give us an idea what's going wrong. You can post it in a new answer - it will be kept internal.
