Which details are stored in the Quick Copy files?

During the creation of a virtual CD you can specify in the Expert Copy Mode that you want to create a Quick Copy file.

All data necessary to make a copy of a CD on another computer are stored in the Quick Copy file (*.VQC), even if the source drive does not support the necessary reading methods (e.g. RAW) to handle it. Further the existence of this file makes it quicker and easier to create a virtual CD (e.g. if it has been deleted).

All data relevant for creating a virtual CD(e.g. the CD geometry and defect sectors, however not the RAW data are stored in the VQC files. If your CD drive cannot read RAW data, the image-creation will as well not function with the Quick Copy file. In addition the method of how the CD was created is stored in the VQC file. When, for example, the value 1000 is selected for the dynamic search of defect sectors, this value is stored in the VQC file and is used as default when creating the CD.
