CDDB error 'Faircom status log failure: S0000000.FCS (96)'

When trying to read CDDB information the error message above is displayed.

Solution: Make sure that the user has writing access to the directory Virtual CD v4\System where the FCS files are created for each users.

The best way to do this in Windows 2000/XP is to add an additional right to the system folder (select advanced in the security property dialogue, add a new right for limited users, select apply to this folder, give full access). Afterwards limited users will have the right to create new files in the system directory and the rights for existing files remain unchanged.
