Install Virtual CD NMS v10. While setting up NMS system components, the installation program detects your earlier NMS version.

A window opens prompting you to specify whether to use the existing data with the new version. The existing (earlier version) Virtual CD NMS service is automatically set to "manual" and deactivated, after which NMS v10 launches automatically and is ready to operate with VCD clients.

After installation you can delete the old database share to prevent confusion.

The first time you run CD Control Center following this update, you are prompted to configure the connection data for use with the Virtual CD NMS v10 server.

All stations that had connected to the earlier version now automatically connect to Virtual CD NMS v10, provided the same port is specified.

Once you determine that your system runs smoothly with the new version, deinstall the earlier version to avoid difficulties. Versions 7 and 9 are not compatible with v10; specifically, NMS Administration v7 cannot run on Virtual CD NMS Server v10
