Long Delay When Opening Popup Menus in the Explorer

[Top]  [Previous]  [Next]

In some environments, opening a popup menu (when you right-click on an element) may at some stage start to take a lot longer than usual. This might be caused by the Virtual CD Explorer extension trying to load a very large number of virtual CD names for use with the "Insert" option in the popup menu. Because Virtual CD checks the CDs before displaying them, unavailable CDs can lead to lengthy delays when loading menus and other elements. Make sure there are no virtual CDs registered in your program that cannot be accessed (for example, over network shares that are not connected).

On the Explorer Integration page of the Settings program, you can activate or deactivate any or all functions of the Explorer extension. Try switching off certain functions and testing the result by opening a popup menu in your Explorer, to see whether the problem can be solved in this way.
