Global Functions

[Top]  [Previous]  [Next]

There are certain functions that can be applied globally, as well as to individual objects. These are:

Inserting a virtual CD
Ejecting all virtual CDs
Locking all drives
Releasing all drives
Assigning profiles
Distributing scripts

For example, functions can be applied globally to create a uniform operating state on all client stations in the network. This is particularly useful in a teaching or training situation, for example. One method for this would be to first lock all drives and then eject all virtual CDs. Then you can permit access to a particular selection of virtual CDs for the group with whom you are currently working.

To apply a function globally, select the root entry, All stations, right-click on it to open a shortcut menu, and select the desired function.
