The Logbook Properties define which types of message are recorded in the logbook:

 

General information:

Times at which NMS is started up and shut down. Logs the times at which NMS was launched and shut down

Virtual CD user login and logout. Records user logins and logouts.

 

Warnings and notices:

Connection with VCD closed down. Logs halted connections between Virtual CD NMS and VCD users.

License request denied due to license violation. Logs denials due to unavailability of licenses.

Denied requests on insertion of virtual CDs due to licensing violation. Logs denial due to insufficient permissions.

 

Error messages:

NMS errors. Logs errors in the service that occur during operation of NMS.

Request for VCD license code denied. Logs denials of requests for VCD license codes; for example, if no further license codes are available.

Error executing a command on a VCD user station. Logs errors that occur while executing commands on the client station (for example, when inserting a virtual CD).
