How can I manually install the Virtual CD 5 SCSI controller?
After a unsuccessful installation of Virtual CD 5 it can
occasionally happen that the virtual SCSI controller is not
or not properly installed.
Manual installation of Virtual CD 5 SCSI controller:
Deinstall the non-functioning SCSI controller with the command Programme\HHVcdV5Sys\drvins5.exe vbev5mp.inf /d (please adapt the path if necessary). If necessary restart your computer. Alternatively you can delete the controller directly out of the device manager.
Stop the Player (vc5play.exe): Start -> Run -> C:\Programme\HHVcdV5Sys\vc5play.exe /stop (please adapt the path if necessary).
Start the registry editor: Start -> Run -> type Regedt32.exe
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\vbev5mp.
Go to Security -> Permissions -> Advanced and remove the denial entry.
Install the Virtual CD 5 SCSI controller with the command C:\Programme\HHVcdV5Sys\drvins5.exe vbev5mp.inf (please adapt the path if necessary). If an "error message" appears please go on with the installation. If necessary restart your computer.
