In another KB article there is a description of how to create a Client Setup thereby suppressing the display of messages.
Please read this KB article concerning the creation of a Silent Client Setup.
There are two reasons why a Silent Client Setup doesn't function on a computer:
The share for the Client Setup has to have writing rights since during the execution of the Client Setup a setup.log is created. If the Client Setup cannot write in the share, the setup.exe will terminate without installing!
If the installation seems to run until a particular point (until, for instance, the desktop shortcuts are created) and then runs a rollback, then it could have the following reason: Depending on the operating system and the newly installed files, a restart is possibly necessary. This information will be written in the ISS-file. If e.g. the ISS-file has been created on a computer that doesn't require a restart and the silent Client Setup is run on different computer that requires a restart, then this rollback will occur. NOTE: Such a rollback can be caused by any (operating system related) message that is not stored in the ISS-file! As of Virtual CD 7.1 any possible reboot from the Silent Setup will be ignored. In any case, Virtual CD tries to start its programs after an installation. Eventually, you have to restart the computer manually so that Virtual CD will function properly.
