Insertion of virtual CDs in a physical drive

In Virtual CD v8 the first (physical) CD-/DVD-drive can be used for the insertion of virtual CDs. Virtual CD v9 and newer allows this for any physical drive.

With this function you can use older programs that e.g. expect their CDs to be inserted in the first CD-drive (in other words, you'd not have to set at least one virtual drive before the physical ones, see KB-Article #806).

Attention! If the first drive is a virtual drive, e.g. from another Virtual CD version, this will be used by Virtual CD v8/v9/v10 (whereby the above advantage no longer exists)! If you modify this so that the physical drive again is in front then this will immediately be used by Virtual CD!

Hint: If a physical CD is already in the drive, this will not be ejected, but simply modified in the view. In other words, the physical CD is still inserted in the drive, but the contents of the virtual CD are displayed.
As long as a virtual CD is inserted in the physical drive, you cannot view an inserted physical CD, including any physical CDs inserted later.

Hint: Smart Virtual CD does no provide the insertion of a virtual CD into the first physical drive!
