When creating a Smart Virtual Stick, an autorun.inf is also copied to the USB stick, which automatically starts SmartVCD.exe from the root of the stick when AutoPlay is switched on after the USB stick is connected.
Automatic playback via autorun.inf is no longer possible as of Windows Vista, since Microsoft no longer provides this function for USB sticks as of security reasons. Microsoft intentionally disabled this feature as it was an important way for malware to spread from PC to PC.
