For those of you who are already familiar with an earlier Virtual CD version, the new features added to Version 10 are listed in the following:

Support for Windows 7.
Emulation of Blu-ray drives and burners.
Support for HD media.
Improved readout functions for better compatibility with the latest media.
Support for insertion of Virtual CDs in any physical drive.
Integration of new commands (improved writing of CD-Text, improved Video CD support, etc.) in the drive emulation features to ensure compatibility with even more applications.
New CD Control Center for simple, user-friendly management of all images.
Dynamic desktop icons show which CDs are in currently in drives. This function can also show other types of drive and provide additional information (e.g., hard drives and their available space).
In addition to loading and editing existing images, the new Editor enables the following:
oCreate ISO images.
oRead data directly from a medium. A single mouse-click is all it takes to load only the video, or only the other data, from a DVD that contains both.
oAssemble data and burn it directly, without the intermediate step of making a virtual CD.
Transparent integration of ISO images now permits the assignment of properties (description, comment, etc.) that previously could be assigned only to virtual CDs.
The "safe mode:" a new function that creates encrypted images for secure storage of sensitive data.
The sound file mode for direct burning of sound files (such as MP3s) from within your choice of applications.
Support for many new virtual blank formats: CD-RW, DVD-RW, HD-DVD-R, and Blu-Ray BD-R and BD-RE.
New command line program with interactive drive selection prompt.
Improved integration in the Windows Explorer (e.g., configurable reaction to double-click on images).
User-guided action prompts enable flexible layout of program controls for the main tasks.
Integration of user programs so they can be used without a "detour" outside the Virtual CD program.
Improved and expanded API, enabling a number of functions, including:
oCreating virtual blanks
oDeleting images
oConfiguring dynamic desktop icons
oControlling the sound file mode
oDetermining which files belong to a particular image
oCalling the interactive drive selection prompt.
Completely redesigned user interface and functionalities, based on specific suggestions and requests from Virtual CD users.
New documentation with integrated videos for a better introduction to the many possibilities of Virtual CD.

Numerous other details have been improved in the various Virtual CD programs as well.
