Windows 10 support

I have the insider preview of Windows 10 Build 10130. I have successfully installed Virtual CD 10.6.0 but seem to be having problems displaying virtual CDs on my network and when I change the drive letters for my virtual CD Drives and reboot, they revert to the original default letters. Do you support Virtual CD on Windows 10 at all yet? If not, do you know when support will be added?

Thank you,
Jason Hollinger

Windows 10 support

Afaik Virtual CD v10 will be supported on Windows 10. However please observe that operating systems that are still being developed (beta or RC) and not officially released generally cannot be supported.

Windows 10 Support

Thank you for your prompt reply. I started to have better luck when in reinstalled using the full 10.6 setup file rather than installing 10.0 and then upgrading to 10.6. My drive letters are behaving now and the program responds much faster. Also regarding displaying the VCDs from my network shares, that seemed to be an issue with Virtual CD not finding the image files associated with the disk. In Settings, I told it to display disks that it could not find image files for, then I removed all of the entries that it was having problems with and searched for and added them again. All seems to be working fine now.

Thank you once again for your support.

Windows 10 support

Thanks for reportung back. That's what our chief developer expected and what is the aim for the final Windows 10.

so nützbar!

V CD is so useful that I cannot think of upgrading to W 10 if it is not officially fully compatible with this new (and free for a limited time) release.

So please do not refrain from notifying us ASAP when you are ready, thanks in advance.
