The Virtual CD support forum

Answers:

ISO file creation

I'm trying to create a blank ISO CD-R, but VCD creates a folder named CD-R_ISO with a series of files inside it. Trying to convert the VC10 file, VCD says the format source is not supported for conversion. I'm following the instructions in the help file to the letter, but don't get the expected results.

Virtual CD to ISO

Please read the following KB article which describes what to do:

Is it possible to convert a virtual CD (back) to ISO?

ISO file creation

This forum is built very strangely so I'm not sure if my response is linked to my original message and to the response I received, but in any case the response is inadequate. Sorry, but that's just not an answer. If I click insert virtual blank -> CD-R(W) -> CR-R ISO, I expect to get an ISO file. Why is that not the case? How do I create a blank ISO Virtual CD?

ISO file creation

An ISO file can only be created if it is possible (this is due to the restrictions of the ISO format!). Thus in your case it should not be offered at all. We will keep this in mind for the next version which is under development at the moment.

ISO file creation

I'm still at a loss. Your answer says "An ISO file can only be created if it is possible". When would that be? What are the circumstances under which I CAN create an ISO file? I understand that there are restrictions, but surely there are conditions under which it IS possible. I'd like a straight answer about this!

ISO creation

I did some testing: In fact in any case a vc10 file and a 000 file is created instead of an ISO, but after burning the virtual CD will be converted into the ISO format.
