v10.7 not working on W10 after Windows 1607 update

We have a number of w10 client machines with vCD v10.7 installed which I think is the latest version at time of writing. We recently updated a couple of test machines with Windows 10 Anniversary Update v1607 which was published a few weeks ago. It seems that there is a conflict with the vCD Driver following this update which results in the vCd software not working. IS there a work around / patch / Update for this?

Anniversary Update

Unfortunately you will have to reinstall Virtual CD. What's been happening? The update deletes the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\vdrv1000.ini for any reason. This is the ley which contains the license and other important values. For the next update you can save this key and afterwards execute it in order to avaoid the reinstallation.

Virtual CD does not work properly after upgrading or updating Windows.

Windows 10 Anniversary edition

Just hit this.
The VCD repair option did not work.
The VCD drives disappeared.
When tried to recreate had 'changing driver settings, this may take several minutes' message.
Got bored waiting...

Guess an uninstall is needed first. Will try later.
Is that correct?

Will VCD have a fix (rather than workaround) for this at some point?

Reinstallation of Virtual CD

Indeed in this case you'll have to reinstall (uninstall, reboot, install). It is planned that the next version will fix this problem.
