The Virtual CD support forum

Answers:

Virtual Burner not recognized in any other program.

Hello,
I am having a problem with Virtual CD and the virtual burners that it made. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
First things first, I am running Virtual CD 10.1.0.0.
The virtual burners are listed under "My Computer" and appear to be active. But Here is my problem, when I try to use the virtual burner, it does not show up in the list of available drives. Only my physical DVD drive shows up, which does not work.
So i was hoping to use Virtual CD to burn the backup files i need so that i can redo my computer.

So is there settings or something that i need to put so that my virtual burners show up in burning programs?
The specific software that im interested in burning from is Acer eRecovery.

Thank you for any help that you can give me,
Joseph

Virtual Burner not recognized in any other program

Hello Joseph,

We need more information to pinpoint the problem:
Are you able to create and insert a virtual blank? I.e. if you insert a virtual blank type 'CD-R(700 MB)' and right-click on Virtual CD icon in the SysTray of the task bar is 'drive letter of virtual burner' - CD-R- (Blank) shown?
Do you have another burning software(i.e. Nero, iTunes)? If yes, does the virtual burner show up in the list of available drives?

Best regards
