VirtualCD appears as ejectable

Running Virtual CD 10.1.0.13 on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, and I have two virtual drives set-up, a Read-Only and a Burner/Write. Virtual CD causes the "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media" icon to appear in the lower-right System Taskbar, along with a single entry:

VXDV BD-HD-DVDRAM S15 SCSI CdRom Device

Is there no way to tell Windows not to show this? If it is selected by accident, both virtual drives immediately disappear without warning, and only a Windows reboot (seemingly) will get the virtual drives to appear again.

Is there some way to make "Safely Remove..." not appear, or otherwise correct this behavior where it instantly removes the drives?

Virtual CD appears as ejectable

The reason why the virtual drive appears as ejectable at all is not clear. At my computer the drive is not listed, but at another PC it is...

With Windows 7 you can adapt each icon to appear permanently or to be hidden as long as there is no new message from the icon. Simply click on the small triangle left of the system tray icons and adapt the "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media" icon to your needs. I think that's the only way to avoid an accidental ejection of the virtual drive...
