Virtual Image Folders

When I see a patient who has had an MRI or CT at an outside institution, I often copy the scan to a network drive with VCD and review the study. I'll often keep the copy for future reference. At this point, I have about 350.

My problem is that every time I open Virtual CD Control Center, I have to wait for it to load all the CD virtual images. When I want to insert one in the virtual drive, I have to scroll through 350.

I have created a folder called Patients and subfolders A-F, G-L, etc. and dragged images from the root folder to these. Every time I open Control Center, they end up back in the root folder. I cannot figure out why this is happening. The Patients folder is blue and is at the same level as the default Audio and Video folders, which are yellow (if that means anything).

Thanks very much for any help.

Yellow vs. blue

A yellow folder means that it is a local folder, blue marks global folders. Please make sure that you have writing privileges in the global configuration path when sorting your virtual CDs into blue folders. Otherwise the information which virtual CDs have been moved into which folder cannot be stored permanently, but will be lost after logoff.
